Object-Oriented Approach for Modeling of Discrete Production Systems
by
Georgi Tuparov
South West University, Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria

In the article an approach for constructing an object-oriented model of a discrete production system in order to support concepts of virtual manufacturing is presented. The proposed approach is based on object-oriented paradigm of Object Modeling Technique (OMT) and Fusion Method (FM). The discussed approach supports three levels in modeling: static model, functional model and dynamic model. This way of modeling provides conditions for easily converting to the formal modeling tools such as Petri Nets, Process Algebra etc.
