We describe our experiences with conducting a large-scale survey of school pupils in the United Kingdom, South Africa and Australia. The questionnaires contained questions about the pupils, their home and school environments. The responses are contained in a database that can be accessed by anyone with web-browser capabilities. Over 50 activity worksheets, covering a broad range of curriculum subjects, can be freely downloaded for pupil and/or teacher use.
We also show how the database and worksheets can be utilised to help with the development of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) skills by describing a three-day training course that has been delivered to Northern Territory teachers with little or no knowledge of such material.
