Semi-Bayesian Estimation of the Scale Parameter of Exponential Distribution in the Presence of Outliers Generated from Exponential or Uniform Distribution

We obtained the Bays estimator of the scale parameter in the presence of k outliers generated from exponential or uniform distribution,where the parameter of prior distribution is integrated.Further,in the same model,estimation of the scale parameter is obtained by using Lindley approximation,where scale parameter of the prior distribution is estimated by the maximum likelihood.With some illustrative examples,it is shown that Lindley approximation works better than the Bayes estimation.
