Relationships between rainfall and mean sea level pressure in the south-west of Western Australia

Rainfall in south-western Australia (SWWA) has decreased since the middle of last century. This rainfall decrease not only affects the economics of Western Australia, but also makes climate forecasting in that area more difficult. In this paper, the relationship between mean sea level pressure and rainfall in SWWA is examined. We hope to address the question "Is rainfall in this region influenced more by mean sea level pressure or sea surface temperatures?".
