Families of Inverse Limits on [0, 1]

We consider inverse limits on [0, 1] using a single bonding map chosen from one of the following families of maps: the family of unimodal maps consisting of two linear pieces (including the tent family), the logistic family and the family of Markov maps determined by permutations. We survey recent and new results involving the following properties: being an indecomposable continuum, containing an indecomposable continuum, having only n end points, having every proper subcontinuum an arc and having the Property of Kelley.
