Weak-Open Sets:A Unified Approach

Using the concept of operator between the power set of a topological space X, we define and give characterizations of a class of weak open sets, the operator-open sets, which generalizes simultaneously various classes of widely studied weak open sets (for example, semiopen, alfa open, preopen sets). We give conditions on the operator such that the class of operator-open sets is a topology on X.
