Invariant measures for constrained mechanical systems

Using methods from Viscosity Solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi equations we prove the existence of invariant measures for constrained mechanical systems. These measures can be characterized by a variational principle similar to Mather measures. Using duality methods we prove an analog of Mather's graph theorem. Finally we apply our results to show regularity for stationary Hamilton-Jacobi equations.
