Usage of Spacings in Outlier Detection

The minimum spacing is used as the test statistic for detection of outliers for a sample from a standard uniform distribution. The critical values for this statistic are tabulated and the power values for certain shifts are also shown. The performance of this statistic is highlited with an example.
