Lattices of Proximities
by
Marlon Rayburn
University of Manitoba

Lubbin's Problem, when do the Hausdorff compactifications form a lattice, has another form, when do the Efremovic proximities form a lattice. We observe the Lodato proximities always form a complete lattice, and the Lodato regular proximities form a lattice. Not much is currently known about Harris proximities (whose completions are the regular closed extensions) which sit between the Lodato regular and the Efremovic proximities.
