Things of Continuous Functions
by
K.D. Magill, Jr.
SUNY at Buffalo
The "Things" in the title are rings, semigroups, and nearrings. A good portion of the talk will center around topological nearrings whose additive groups are either an n-dimensional torus or an n-dimensional Euclidean group. The nearring of continuous functions from a topological space into a topological nearring will also be discussed.
