A deBranges space is a Hilbert space of entire functions subject to certain axioms. We study spaces on the elements of which there are imposed growth restrictions. An example would be spaces which consist of functions of exponential type, however, in various contexts there appear spaces with elements which are e.g. of order 1/2. It is our aim to get an insight into the interplay of the deBranges space structure and function theoretic growth behaviour in the general framework of proximate orders.
