By a well known result of R. Hoegh-Krohn, M. Landstad and E. Stormer, any unital C*-algebra, on which there exists an ergodic compact group action, is nuclear and any W*-algebra, on which there exists an ergodic compact group action, is injective.
We show that the above statements hold if instead of ergodicity we assume only the nuclearity resp. injectivity of the fixed point algebra. We discuss also further extensions to the case of compact quantum group actions and locally compact group actions.
