Periodic homeomorphism of the sphere

A well known theorem of Newman states that periodic homeomorphisms of manifolds cannot have all orbits arbitrarily small. The purpose of this talk is to precise this theorem for the case of spheres exploring how small orbits of periodic homeomorphisms of spheres can be.
