On locally compact c-compact groups
by

A topological group G is c-compact if for any topological group H the image of every closed subgroup of G ×H under the projection pH: G ×H --> H is closed in H. In this talk we present conditions for a locally compact c-compact group to be compact. Among other results we prove that if G is locally compact, c-compact and maximal almost-periodic, then G is compact.
