A space A is metrizably fibered if and only if there exists a continuous map F\colon A --> B onto a metrizable space B such that for each b in B, F-1(b) is metrizable. We study two questions raised by Tkachuk concerning continuous images of the lexicographic square. We rely heavily on work of Simone and Treybig, respectively.
