Lehmer's problem for chord diagram links

Lehmer's problem, concerning the distribution of heights of algebraic integers, has an intriguing analog in the theory of knots and links. A slightly weaker and perhaps more tractable form of the question translates to whether there are gaps in the distribution of spectral radii of the monodromy of fibered links. In this talk we study Lehmer's problem in the context of fibered links constructed from chord diagrams.
