An Allee Birth Death Process
by
Flora Mulkey
California State Polytechnic University
Coauthors: Randall J. Swift

In this talk, the steady-state probabilities and moments of a birth-death-immigration-emigration process with the Allee effect are considered in terms of a generalized hypergeometric function. These steady-state probabilities generalize those obtained by J.N. Kapur, 1978, for the birth-death-immigration-emigration process and those of R. J. Swift, 2001, for the logistic birth-death-immigration-emigration process. The process is compared to the deterministic Allee model and further generalizations are presented.
