In this paper we study nonlinear discrete-time boundary value problems of the form (Lx)(t)=f(t,x(t)) ; t=0,1,2... subject to boundary conditions of the type g(x(0),x(N))=0. In this setting L is a linear difference operator, and f and g are continuous real valued functions. We establish sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to this problem. Our conditions are based on the rate of growth of the nonlinearity f, as well as properties of L and of the boundary operator g.We will also present connections with the theory of continuous-time systems.
