Qualitative Properties of Approximation Schemes for Singular Neutral Systems

In this paper, motivated by an optimal control problem arising in aero-elasticity (e.g. flutter suppression), we consider qualitative properties of approximation schemes for singular neutral systems and in particular, we show that stabilizability of a simplified model of the aero-elastic control system is preserved under approximation.
