Solution of a certain type of interface problems.

In many physical situations like the study of acoustic waveguides in ocean, study of step index fibre in optical fiber transmission, one dimensional scattering problem in quantum scattering theory, we come across a problem where two different diffrential equations are defined on two diffrent intervals with a common interface point. The solutions need to satisfy certain matching mixed boundary conditions at the point of interface. In this paper we develop numerical methods to solve these types of problem and discuss the results.
