On Some Ranked Set Sampling Procedures

Some ranked set sampling procedures for estimating the population mean are examined. The esimators based on these procedures are compared with the estimator based on the usual ranked set sampling procedure. It is shown that the estimators based on these procedures give higher precisions than the estimator based on usual ranked set sample.
