Hereditary Indecomposability and Homogeneity

The pseudo-arc is the only known nondegenerate continuum which is both hereditarily indecomposable and homogeneous. It also has other properties related to homogeneity. A number of hereditarily indecomposable continua which are not homogeneous have properties related to homogeneity. We discuss some of these results and related open questions.
