Periodic points of simple triod-like continua
by
Christopher Mouron
Rhodes College

A continuum X is simple triod-like if for every e > 0 there exists a continuous function fe : X ® T such that T is a simple triod and diam(fe-1(t)) < e for each t Î T. I will discuss some special cases where homeomorphisms of simple triod-like continua have periodic points.
