1.Fuzzy logic has emerged as a powerful tool for the controlling of engineering systems and complex industrial processes as well as for day to day use in electronics ,diagnosis systems and other expert systems. Fuzzy logic is basically a multivalued logic that allows intermediate values to be defined between conventional evolutions which can be formulated mathematically and processed by computers .In this paper a study of fuzzy set theory and Fuzzy Logic Controller is presented.
2.When a separately excited D.C. motor is fed by a phase controlled converter for speed control by armature voltage control method. The voltage current characteristics become nonlinear in discontinuous conduction mode. Analysis and design of Fuzzy set theory based compensator has been proposed to liberalize the transfer characteristics of the converter in discontinuous mode so as to improve and facilitate better speed control and current control. A program is developed using fuzzy toolbox of MATLAB for the Fuzzy compensator and results are plotted
