Sums of Powers of Generalized Fibonacci Numbers

We find simple closed form expressions for sums of powers of generalized Fibonacci numbers. Special cases include some well-known, and perhaps some new, formulas for sums of k'th powers of ordinary Lucas and Fibonacci numbers.
