Spaces of closed subspaces and diagonalization properties

We review some known and some new results concerning duality between certain properties of a space X and spaces of closed subspaces of X. The properties that we consider are described by several diagonalization properties of different sorts (covering properties, closure properties, convergence). Open problems will be also discussed.
