We shall discuss the coherence relation on the lattice of semifilters. A semifilter is a family of infinite subsets of natural numbers, closed under taking almost supersets. On the family of ultrafilters the coherence relation was introduced in 80-ies by A.Blass who formulated his famous principle (NCF), the Near Coherence of Filters, that found many non-trivial applications in various fields of mathematics. Coherence classes of semifilters allow to quantify selection properties and define many Selection Principles intermediate between the properties of Hurewicz and Menger.
