Inverse Limits and Whitney Preserving Maps

We give conditions on an inverse limit system in such a way that the projections from the inverse limit to the coordinate spaces are Whitney preserving maps, we use this to show that there exists a Whitney preserving map from any n-adic soleniod to the unit circle S1.
