A lattice base for a space X is a closed-set base that is also a sublattice of the lattice of closed sets of X. Our main result is the following: Let X be a topological graph. If Y is a locally connected compact metrizable space having a lattice base that satisfies the same first-order properties as some lattice base for X, then X and Y are homeomorphic.
