1/2-Homogeneity in Continua

A space is said to be 1/2-homogeneous provided that there are exactly two orbits for the action of the group of homeomorphisms of the space onto itself. Note that 1/2-homogeneity is closely related to homogeneity, a classical topic in continuum theory and, until recently, there was very little known about it. In this talk we present results and open problems about 1/2-homogeneous continua.
