Dynamics in a neighborhood of a fixed point

A flow (a continuous R-action) defined on a manifold can exhibit interesting dynamics in a neighborhood of an isolated fixed point. In dimension three, all orbits can align along wild arcs producing an unusual set of escape points, even under the natural restrictions given by the Wa\.zewski Retract Theorem.
