Indivisibility and metric oscillation stability
by
Lionel Nguyen Van The
Universite Paris 7

Call a metric space X oscillation stable if given any e > 0 and any partition of X into finitely many pieces, the e-neighborhood of one of the pieces includes an isometric copy of X.

The purpose of this talk is to present several (solved and unsolved) problems related to this concept and to show how Ramsey calculus on countable classes of finite metric spaces is naturally connected to it.
