Synchronization of chaos in coupled Duffing oscillators using kneading theory

We study the bifurcations and the chaotic behaviour of two identical double-well Duffing oscillators bi-directionally coupled. Considering the Poincaré cross-sections and the return maps associated, the synchronization of the two oscillators, in terms of the coupling strength, is characterized using kneading theory.
