We define a Kelley compactifiable continuum to be a continuum that is the remainder of a Kelley compactification of the ray [0, ∞). We discuss previous results and give an example of a atriodic, hereditarily Kelley continuum which is not Kelley compactifiable, showing that we are still lacking a characterization.
