Some indices of income inequality

One of the most popular indices for measuring income inequality is Gini Lorenz Index. With the introduction of new curves of income inequality, new indices have been proposed in the literature. We propose two new indices viz. Absolute Lorenz Index and COMIC index. Their relationship with Gini index is studied .Their sampling estimators are provided. The exact sampling distribution of COMIC index is derived in case of Exponential and Uniform distributions.
