Some results on D-optimal designs for nonlinear models

Determination of locally D-optimal designs for nonlinear models becomes easier when it is known that the design is minimally supported or saturated. We give fairly general sufficient conditions for minimal support and demonstrate techniques to verify the conditions. The method is illustrated with specific models that arise in real-world applications.
