Modes of Convergence of Solutions of a Discretized Problem of a State of Equilibrium Model of Megnetohydrodynamics

A state of equilibrium of a plasma flow in a nuclear fusion reactor is achieved as a stationary solution of the magnetic flux energy over a class of continuous rearrangements of a prescribed profile magnetic flux function, which is characterized as an optimization problem with continuously many constraints.

In a natural discretized mathematical prototype model of this problem, a state of equilibrium of the plasma flow is a minimizer of the energy functional of the magnetic flux function subject to finitely many constraints.

Modes of convergence of a sequence of solutions of the discretized model to a solution set of the original optimization problem with continuously many constraints is presented.
