Combined new numerical method for Volterra integral equations of pantograph type

For nonlinear Volterra integral equations of pantograph type a new combined numerical method is constructed. The method combines the Picard sequence of successive approximations, the trapezoidal quadrature formula for functions with Lipschitzian first derivative and spline interpolation. The effective error estimation of the method is obtained and the corresponding algorithm is illustrated on a numerical example.
