Extremely non-multiplicative, non-symmetric, non-commutative operator spaces

Operator spaces with some extreme properties stated in the title will be discussed. Their geometric structure will be described using a model of a shift. These spaces appear prominently in operatro theory, C*-algebras (Cuntz algebras), and E-semigroup theory (continuous tensor product systems).
