On the two dimensional Bilinear Hilbert Transform and ergodic Z2 actions

A famous unsolved question in Ergodic Theory concerns the pointwise convergence of the bilinear averages associated with commuting measure preserving transformations. We investigate related questions by using analytic tools, in particular by proving Lp bounds for the 2 dimensional Bilinear Hilbert Transform.
