I present a proof, using the Lowenheim-Skolem theorem, of the dimension inequality dim X ≤ Dg X, where dim is covering dimension and Dg is Brouwer's Dimensionsgrad. This inequality was first proved by Fedorchuk; the present argument sheds some light on the complexity of the first proof.
