Embeddings of continua

For any continuum X in the complex plane, it has been shown that the particular embedding of X affects the characteristics of the preimage of X under certain analytic maps. The speaker gives various embeddings of both well-known and lesser-known continua and demonstrates this effect. In addition, the speaker will provide various conditions on embeddings of continua so that their preimages may possess certain characteristics.
