Topological classification of inverse limit spaces of tent maps with non-recurrent critical orbit

In recent years there has been intensive research of topological properties of inverse limit spaces Ks of tent maps Ts with classification of these spaces as ultimate goal. By use of symbolic dynamics we were able to classify the inverse limits of tent maps with non-recurrent critical orbit. More precisely, we prove the following result: For s, t ∈ (1, 2], s ≠ t, if Ts and Tt are tent maps with non-recurrent critical orbits, then Ks and Kt are not homeomorphic.
