Distinguishing contragredient Galois representations in characteristic two

Ash, Pollack, and Soares have studied Galois representations with images isomorphic to GL(3, 2) and have computationally demonstrated a connection to arithmetic cohomology classes with predictable coefficient modules. In some cases, they did not distinguish between contragredient representations for which the predicted coefficient modules are different. We will distinguish between these representations, strengthening their evidence for a conjectural connection between Galois representations and cohomology.
