It is well known that the Banach contraction principle is a very useful, simple and classical tool in nonlinear analysis. So the study of common fixed point of mapping satisfying contractive type condition has been a very active field of research activity during the last three decades. Recently Branciari obtained an interesting fixed point result for a single mapping satisfying an analogue of Banach’s contraction principle for an integral type inequality. Later on there are several extension and generalizations for the Branciari contraction principle appeared in the literature for the last five year. In this paper/ talk we will discuss these developments and also prove some new results.
