Nash introduced a "better response" map on the space of strategies for a game which he used to prove the existence of a Nash equilibrium. We consider the Nash dynamics for two-person games with two pure strategies, amounting in each case to a piecewise rational map on the unit square. We describe the variety of behavior which can result.
