The Fuller's problem is a well-known problem in optimal control for a chain of integrators with bounded control. We introduce an extension, the Robust Fuller's Problem, and show that its solution can be used to design HOSM algorithms of generic order r providing optimal finite-time reaching of the sliding manifold. It is shown that several already known controllers belong to this general framework. The convergence and stability properties of the proposed class of HOSM controllers are theoretically analyzed.
