In this paper an analytical solution is proposed using confluent hypergeometric functions for convection heat transfer in a duct with a circular cross section. In the suggested solution, the thickness of the wall of the duct has also been taken into account. Also, it has been assumed that the temperature of the external wall changes longitudinally periodically. For solution, the temperature distribution has been assumed as a periodic longitudinal function. Finally, the temperature distribution in the fluid phase, the wall of the duct, and Nusselt value have been found analytically.
