Von Neumann and interior Schwarz inequalities for r-contractions

Firstly, we recall some results on constrained von Neumann inequalities and their applications to harmonic analysis (with C. Badea, Advances in Math). Secondly, we show how other constrainsts lead to sharpened forms of von Neumann inequality and interior Schwarz inequality (with N. Suciu, to appear in Math. Scandinavica).
