On an operator order for selfadjoint operators

Let A1 and A2 be selfadjoint operators in a Hilbert space H with spectral distributions F1 and F2, respectively. We denote A1\preccurlyeq A2 if F2(x) ≤ F1(x) for all x ∈ R. Properties of this order are investigated.
